Adega do Tagarro
If youre into eating like a local and tasting real Portuguese food, Adega do Tagarro is your spot. The pataniscas (fried codfish) are the main delicacy and the perfect complement for the wonderful beans rice, but the menu also offers other meat or fish dishes for a lesser touristy price.
LX factory
LX Factory is an industrial site located in Alcântara. Train ride to Cascais
A train ride to a village near Lisbon can bring you pleasant surprises, such as Casa da Guia. This yellow palace is perfect for those who are looking for a peaceful place to have a snack, read a book or have lunch with the family, while enjoying the sea view.
Traditional grocery shops
If you're looking for traditional Portuguese products, especially good wine, fruit, cheese and sausages, the oldest grocery shops in the capital are the perfect place to find them! They preserve the charm of the olden days, such as Mercearia Progresso, in Alcântara, or Mercearia da Glória, in Bairro Alto.
Have a snack at Tendinha
This isn't the most modern place in the city and, in spite of its renovations, your coffee will be served at its stainless-steel counter. It's located in Rossio and is the perfect place to taste the most traditional delicacies, such as codfish croquettes, bifanas (pork fillet sandwiches) or codfish sandwiches. Pair them with a glass of wine or a ginjinha.
