River area and cruise on the Douro river
Start your day by going down to the river and taking a walk down to Ribeira to see the typical colourful houses, decorated with Portuguese tiles.
The afternoon in Baixa
Walk through the historical centre, from Praça de Lisboa, Clérigos Tower, Lello Irmão bookshop to Rua de Santa Catarina. During the afternoon, you can find markets that bring life to the streets, namely the Porto Belo market, at Praça Carlos Alberto.
What would you like for dinner?
Taste the most traditional dish francesinha. Cufra, Capa Negra or Café Santiago are some of the best and well-known spots.
Back to Baixa
Galerias de Paris or Cândido dos Reis are the most crowded streets in the evening. Its normal to stay outside, chatting in the street. To sit down and relax, go to Casa do Livro or Galerias de Paris. If you are in Cedofeita, go to the Rua bar (where every day theres live music).
Serralves by morning
The ticket gives you access to the museum, the park and the house. The park is a must-visit, especially in the spring or autumn. The museum is always displaying temporary exhibitions of contemporary art or from the Foundations collection.
Foz do Douro and dinner in Matosinhos
Walk through Foz, on foot or by bicycle, head to Castelo do Queijo or to Matosinhos if you want to continue your stroll. What about dinner? Grilled fish, of course!
Wine tasting at the Port wine cellars
You cannot miss a wine tasting at the Port wine cellars, which are usually paired with snacks that stimulate the senses (such as cheese, chocolate, etc.). You can have lunch here, catch the cable car in Gaia, go on the 6-bridge cruise or cross the Luiz I bridge.Discover our hotels
