Monsanto Forest Park
This is largest forest park in Portugal and one of the biggest in Europe. In the citys green lung there are plenty of activities to occupy your day, including adventure sports, walks, concerts, fairs or exhibitions. Additionally, it offers unique views over the city.
Parque da Bela Vista
This natural space has been the perfect stage for hosting one of the largest national and international music events, the Rock in Rio Lisboa festival. Apart from the music festival, here you can ride a bicycle or go for a walk, away from urban routine.
Tapada das Necessidades
A walled green space covered by a forest, lakes, exotic vegetation and a palace. In one of his memories, Édouard Manet wrote that his masterpiece, Le déjeuner sur lherbe, was inspired by this garden, during his short stay at Palácio das Necessidades, in 1859.
Sintra-Cascais Natural Park
Extending from the Sintra mountains to the coastline of Cascais, this is a preserved natural place, a true green lung, which you can get to by car, bus or on foot. Tours are also available.
Tapada da Ajuda
Tapada da Ajuda is located between Alcântara valley and Monsanto Forest Park, and its a great walled in area which was of major importance during the monarchy in Portugal. If youre looking for a cultural outdoor tour, this could be a great option.
Jardim da Estrela
