Cafetaria Maria Dentada, Botanical Garden (600 m away, 9 min on foot)
Situated in a privileged location, the Botanical Garden, this healthy coffee bar has a lunch menu on working days, and a brunch menu on weekends. Have it both ways and visit the garden and the Hall of Biodiversity, before or after your meal!
BBGourmet Maiorca, Rua de António Cardoso 301 (900 m away, 13 min on foot)
Renowned for its artisanal pastry that makes your mouth water, this restaurant focuses on Portuguese food with a twist (traditional gourmet). There is another one at Bolhão (downtown), in case you want to pass by.
Casa D'Oro restaurant over the river (1.2 km away, 14 min on foot)
It is an Italian restaurant over the Douro river, just picture the mesmerising view you will see from here! On summer days, the outdoor terrace is the ideal place to be delighted by the food and the landscape, during the day or at night!
ANJE Café, R. de Paulo da Gama (1.3 km away, 17 min on foot)
An old event room of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) was transformed into this gastronomic spot with a view of the river. Out of all our suggestions, this is probably the least touristy, but the go-to when it comes to eating Portuguese food.
Fuga Restaurante Bar, Jardim das Sobreiras (1.6 km away, 20 min on foot)
Mediterranean flavours are the true premise of this restaurant, which prioritises an elegant and intimate ambience. It is located facing the river and the food is delicious. Let them know you are staying with us and enjoy a free drink!
Pisca restaurant, R. do Passeio Alegre 294 (1.8 km away, 20 min on foot)
Do you feel like having a snack? A cheese board, some Spanish broken eggs, or maybe a francesinha? At Pisca you can taste the best tapas in town, sitting on a terrace facing the Douro river, the ideal spot to end the day and even watch the sunset after a bike ride, for instance.
Casa de Pasto da Palmeira, R. do Passeio Alegre 450 (1.8 km away, 20 min on foot)
Next to Cantareira Lighthouse, sits this restaurant, which has a welcoming and relaxed terrace, from where the tram can be seen travelling through the Foz line. Here, dishes vary from the most traditional to something bolder, ideal to share or enjoy by yourself!
Foz do Douro Market, Rua de Diu (2.4 km away, 30 min on foot)
As a market, here there are butcher shops, fish shops, greengrocers, flower shops and even some shoemakers, haberdashers and craftsmen. The restaurants that opened here over the last years get their fresh supplies from their neighbours in the market. There is the Hamburgueria, the Frascos do Mercado (healthy food and juices), O Balcão (which serves tapas) and Péco (pizzeria).
Treze % restaurant, Rua da Cerca 440 (2.5 km away, 30 min on foot)
With an eclectic and relaxing ambience, Treze % celebrates Portuguese cuisine through the products it uses in the preparation or reinterpretation of traditional dishes, while preserving that irresistible typical touch!
Pub Bonaparte Foz, Avenida do Brasil 130 (3 km, 37 min à pied)
Situé juste en face de la Plage da Luz, c'est lun des bars les plus emblématiques de Porto. Entrer ici, c'est comme entrer dans un pub anglais grâce à son environnement et sa décoration. Vous pouvez goûter une grande variété de bières et même grignoter. Il y a également un pub Bonaparte dans le centre-ville.
Located between the river, Foz do Douro and the downtown area, the hotel allows you to explore the entire city, from north to south, from east to west.
The restaurants we recommend to the guests staying at HF Ipanema Park are easily accessible: you can get there on foot, by private transport (like Uber or taxi) on a short drive, by bike (we can rent you one) or by bus.
In downtown, by the river, you can opt for Italian flavours and contemplate the landscape on the balcony of Casa D'Oro - can you picture yourself sharing a pasta or a pizza with a romantic and calming view at noon or at the end of the day? That is where you can experience such a moment.
Pisca serves tapas with a view over the river. Here, you can contemplate the fishing boats floating on the water and the nearby fishermen. Right next to it, at Casa de Pasto da Palmeira the dishes vary between tradition and what it is bold and innovative.
Closer to the hotel, Cafetaria Maria Dentada is the perfect place to have lunch when visiting the Botanical Garden, offering a healthy menu and a brunch on weekends. From there, you can move on to the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal, one of the city's best kept secrets (not much of a secret anymore!).
